For those diagnosed with breast cancer, Kuakini sponsors a Breast Cancer Education and Support Group which meets in Kuakini's HPM-1 conference room from 10:30 a.m. until noon on the last Thursday of every other month (even numbered months). Family members and friends are also welcome to attend. There is no cost. Validated parking and beverages are provided. A Prostate Cancer Support Group called "Us Too" meets every second Wednesday in Kuakini's PB-5 classroom. The meetings are free and are co-sponsored by Kuakini and the American Cancer Society. Kuakini Health System’s Dietary Services Department offers free one-hour classes throughout the year for current and former patients dealing with nutrition-related side effects of cancer treatments. The classes are held on the first and third Tuesdays (1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.) of each at Kuakini Medical Center.
